President AJK Sardar Masood Khan called on OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousaf bin Ahmed Al- Othaimeen in Jeddah.
President AJK apprised the OIC Secretary General of the latest situation in Kashmir. He told that the 5th August unilateral and illegal action by India aims at altering the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir and change its demography by allowing non-residents to settle there.
He told that people of the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have placed their hopes in the brotherly Muslim countries, particularly their representative body, the OIC, for support in urging India to immediately end its oppression, respect their rights and resolve this dispute peacefully in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.
He appreciated the OIC Contact Group on Jammu & Kashmir which during its meeting on the side-lines of the 74th UNGA session, expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people by unanimously adopting a Ministerial Communiqué, which expressed deep concern over the grim humanitarian and human rights situation in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and deplored the siege of the Kashmiri population, communications blackout and indiscriminate use of force, including pellet guns, and abduction of young boys.
He said that the unflinching support of the OIC has assured the people of IOJ&K that they are not alone, and that the Muslim Ummah stands by them.
Dr. Yousaf reiterated OIC’s stance on Kashmir dispute and said that peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people and in accordance with the UNSC resolutions would bring durable peace in the region.
Honorable Khadija Malik, International Peace Leader met with President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Most Respectable Masood Ahmad Khan in Jeddah. She introduced Institute of International Peace Leaders efforts and work for peace in Kashmir and showed her solidarity and full support to our Kashmiri brothers and sisters on behalf of the institute. She also told the honorable president AJK about IIPL upcoming International Peace Conference. Mr. president showed his willingness to participate in the conference and asked her to be touch regarding this conference through your Pakistan office. Mr. president appreciated work of institute for peace-building and development.
